Domestic and Family Violence and its Association with Mental Health Among Pregnant Women Attending Antenatal Care in a Tertiary Hospital of Eastern Nepal

Background: Pregnancy has been identified as a vulnerable period for both the initiation and escalation in severity of domestic family violence. There is significant dearth scholarly literature documenting relationship violence with mental health quality life among pregnant women Nepal.Methods: Baseline data 140 enrolled trial psychosocial intervention abused were analysed. Face-to-face interviews conducted using standardised scales. Prevalence conditions estimated inferential statistics used to assess association health, life, social support, use safety behaviours.Results: The lifetime prevalence was found be 27.7% (n = 173), followed by 17.1% 107) fearing someone their family.
